Ceremony: USNA chapel
Reception: Loews Annapolis Hotel – Power House
Cake: Sugar Bakers
Florist: Sandi’s Flower Shop

Shannon and Joe were married at the beautiful United States Naval Academy chapel in Annapolis. After a lovely full mass, we had some time for family photographs and portraits of Shannon and Joe around campus before we headed to the Loews Annapolis Hotel for their celebration.

The Loews Hotel looked absolutely gorgeous with an outdoor dinner setup where Shannon and Joe enjoyed toasts and their first dance. Later as darkness fell, the party moved to the Power House which was lit dramatically with a nightclub atmosphere so that guests could enjoy music, dancing, and a chocolate fountain on three floors!

Venue: Chesapeake Bay Beach Club
Flowers: Cache Fleur
DJ: Tim Turbidy
Cake: For Goodness Cakes

Sally and Anthony came into town from San Francisco for their lovely waterfront wedding. Both ceremony and reception took place at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club, an absolutely gorgeous venue. After a rooftop ceremony performed by a dear friend of the bride and groom, we had a few moments for portraits near the water. Dinner, toasts and dancing followed in the aptly named Sunset Ballroom where everyone enjoyed a fantastic view of the sun setting over the bay. As darkness fell, the party revved up with some very impressive dancing by Sally and Anthony’s friends and family.

The St. Regis – Carla & Kfir

Sunday, August 1st, 2010 in Portfolio, Weddings

Venue: The St. Regis, Washington DC
Florist: Multiflor
Entertainment: Venechi Productions
Makeup Artist: Lauren Miller

Just a few weeks after their long-awaited engagement session, we met up with Carla and Kfir again for their beautiful wedding at the St. Regis in downtown DC. Carla got ready surrounded by family at her parents’ home in Fairfax and Lauren Miller did a wonderful job with flawless makeup that lasted all day long, even in the heat. We photographed Carla’s sister’s wedding last summer and I really enjoyed the opportunity to spend time with their family for another very special day. Kfir’s family and friends traveled to DC from Israel to join in the celebration.

Carla and Kfir had an opportunity to see each other privately before the ceremony and then we made our way to the lovely, romantic garden at the St. Regis for their outdoor interfaith ceremony. Haydee Gamez and her staff ensured that every moment of the event ran smoothly. Dinner was served by the always gracious and detail oriented staff at the St. Regis (some of the servers have been employed there for 20+ years! that’s dedication). Dancing and fun followed into the night with Carla and Kfir’s closest friends and family.

Mansion at Forsyth Park Katie & Pat

Friday, July 30th, 2010 in Weddings

Katie and Pat hired us last year in the midst of moving to Connecticut and beginning to plan their Tybee Island and Savannah, Georgia wedding! We had been excited about it for months and when the day finally came to fly to Savannah I had visions of a bride and groom amid Spanish moss and great southern food. I was not disappointed on either count :) Katie and her family have been going to Tybee Island for years.

A fun, casual rehearsal dinner was followed by a beautiful and elegant wedding day. The ceremony was on Tybee Island at Katie’s local church where I found out that the priest is originally from Baltimore! Then we traveled back into historic Savannah for their reception at the beautiful Mansion at Forsyth Park. I will let the images tell the rest of the story :)

Engaged! Nicole & Brian

We had a great time with Nicole and Brian in some very beautiful surroundings in Maryland. Check out Nicole’s cute little boots! And we didn’t let a little thing like a flat tire stand in our way either. Nicole and Brian are planning their gorgeous fall wedding at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club and we can’t wait to work with them again!

Engaged! Carla & Kefir

Sunday, July 4th, 2010 in engagement

I can’t tell you how pleased I am to show off this engagement session with one of our awesome couples! I’m especially happy because their engagement session was rescheduled for rain and bad weather FOUR TIMES!! We finally got a day with some sun, and a bit of a thunderstorm risk, but somehow it managed to skirt Old Town where we were shooting. It was hot, but we had a fantastic time with Carla and Kefir and I’m hoping that some fabulous weather comes their way for their wedding at the St. Regis this summer!

Kirkland Manor Wedding Becca & Jake

Venue: Kirkland Manor, St. Michaels, Maryland
Florals: Swan Cove Flowers
Event Coordinator: Maryann Judy, Ambiance-Distinctive Weddings and Events
Band: Truth Groove
Ceremony Music: Bay Strings Quartet
Make-up Artist: Jamie LaBoe

Rebecca and Jake were married on the grounds of the breathtaking Kirkland Manor in St. Michaels, Maryland.  Rebecca’s father and stepfather escorted her down the aisle.  Then the couple’s daughter occupied herself during the ceremony by trying to collect all of the rose petals!  She managed to gather quite a few before the new family was introduced to their guests. After a big group photo and some family portraits, Rebecca and Jake took a stroll around the grounds together.  Under a tent decorated with multicolored lanterns, Truth Groove played into the night and a vibrant sunset provided a beautiful backdrop for the end of the evening.
