Snowstorm, again!

Saturday, February 6th, 2010 in Other

I (Jen) am originally from New England and I have to say – this is the most snow I’ve seen in the decade I’ve lived in the DC metro area! We ventured out this morning to downtown Annapolis and took a few fun images in the snow. I have to say as much as we enjoyed Katie and Kaipo’s snowy wedding last month, it’s nice to enjoy the snow with no responsibilities!

Right after leaving our community we saw that this state plow truck had managed to get stuck in a snowbank. This did not bode well for our excursion and made us both a little nervous.

We successfully made it downtown where we ran into snowblowers, people carrying shovels trying to get to work, and a guy walking his very cute greyhound (wearing a custom greyhound snow jacket). I hope you enjoy seeing these images from the Snowpocalypse!

I love your photos of Annapolis during the storm. The one from atop Main Street is my favorite. Knowing that view very well, it is hard to imagine there is water at the end of that street. Great Job!

As a former long time resident of the Annapolis area, I have many memories of Annapolis in the snow. Its a delight to remember them from Florida through your excellent photos. I too, was especially delighted by your wonderful photo published on The Capital website of the view down Main Street. I would sure love to have a copy for my files and to share with friends.
